Just six weeks after their well received debut single, Woman, King Canyon are back with a soulful new track.
Long Distance has a gentle ease about it, like it could have been plucked from a 1960 Sam Cooke session, and reborn into the sound of 2020.

The rich persuasive tone of Jimmy Cupples voice really shines through on Long Distance, as he yearns for the sound of his new love’s voice over the phone.

King Canyon are slowly gaining a reputation for melding the influential sounds of the 60’s and 70’s with their own guitar driven songwriting and production.
Long Distance is a fine example of this, not only written by King Canyon, but also produced and mixed by guitarist James Ryan.

A live acoustic version of the iconic “Evie (Part 1)” is a surprise second track which is both familiar and brand new. This raw, bluesy performance highlights the chemistry that exists between Jimmy Cupples’ emotive vocal style and James Ryan’s instinctive guitar playing.
